  • Product Description

1.Application

The QNZ1-Q series low-power sealed DC contactor is suitable for circuits with an operating voltage of 200V or below under DC-1 load. It is primarily used for switching control of the main battery circuit and engine starting in electric vehicles and construction machinery. It can also be used as a bypass isolation switch in frequency converters, soft starters, high-frequency heating power supplies, or other similar DC-20 loads.      The product complies with the following standards: IEC/EN 60947-4-1, GB/T 14048.4.      The product has obtained the following certifications: CCC, CE, TUV, UL, RoHS.

9. Precautions for Use

◆ The product coil is polarized (A1 is positive, A2 is negative). The main circuit with magnetic blowout is polarized (L1 is positive, L2 is negative), while the main circuit without magnetic blowout is non-polarized. The polarity must not be reversed, as doing so will affect the load-breaking service life. ◆ The energy-saving coil has a relatively large inrush current at initial operation, lasting between 100-120ms depending on product characteristics. Therefore, the driving power of the contactor must be greater than the product coil power, and the operating frequency must not exceed the rated value. Otherwise, it may affect the normal starting of the DC contactor, or even burn out the energy-saving module, rendering the contactor inoperative. ◆ The product has a built-in coil energy-saving module; no additional PWM or other energy-saving modules are required. If a PWM pulse signal output is still used to control the contactor coil, the PWM output voltage must be adjusted to 100%; otherwise, it may affect the reliable operation of our contactors. A step-change power supply mode is recommended. ◆ When more than one connection wire is used at the power terminal, ensure that the main power conductor is placed closest to the contactor's main circuit connection point, with the lower-current connection wires placed on top, followed by the washer, spring washer, and nut. Incorrect connection order or loose connections may cause severe overheating and lead to melting of the connected cable's insulation.

    ◆ The tightening torque for screws and bolts used with the contactor should be controlled within the specified ranges below (see table).

Recommended for all QNZ1-400Q/500Q/600QX, QNZ1-600Q, and QNZ1-800Q/1000Q/1200Q models: GB/T 822-M6x20 Cross Recessed Pan Head Screw, along with GB/T 97.1-Φ6 Plain Washer, GB/T 93-Φ6 Spring Washer, GB/T 6170-M6 Hex Nut. ◆ Prohibit forcibly bending the wire or busbar after installing and tightening the screws, to prevent damage to the contactor and ensure its normal operation!
